A big thank you to everyone for your participation in the 2nd edition of Swinging Montpellier, international music and dance festival SWING.

Top teachers (Ksenia, JB, Lisa, Fancy, Nejc, Chloé, Peter), inspired musicians (Montpellier Big Band, Caroline Jazz Band, Orchester Syncopatique, Canibal Dandies) and hundreds of diligent and happy dancers…

We wanted to organize a festival “outside the walls”, in the street…well, not just any street…. In a historic and emblematic place in the city of Montpellier: the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle.

And it was a success…

A big thank you to our partners and first and foremost to the City of Montpellier for its support. Montpellier, the city that dances and swings.

Thank you for this magical WE! What a pleasure to find the dance floor with all these dancers and in this setting! Congratulations to the organizing team! And THANK YOU to the dancers with whom I shared great moments of dancing …. and chatting. Kisses to all and goodbye !!

Great evening, yesterday, with the immense Jean-Luc Guiraud, on drums (and vocals) at the Château de Flaugergues in Montpellier, invited by the “Swinging Montpellier 2021” Festival. Five musicians excited to get together and around 500 tireless dancers for our tribute concert to Louis Armstrong “Hey Pops!”

The very first edition of the Swinging Montpellier festival, supported by the City of Montpellier, is a success! Amateur dancers, professionals and musicians came from all over Europe to dance on the Esplanade. I had the pleasure of talking with Chloé and Peter who teach Lindy hop and devote their weekends to festivals in which they pass on their passion for dance. A demonstration in a very pleasant jazzy atmosphere that you can still discover all day long on Sunday.
