In the heart of July, the best of the international swing scene meets in Montpellier, under the trees of the emblematic Place Royale du Peyrou, for the seventh edition of the Swinging Montpellier festival.

Four intense days to celebrate swing dance, music and the art of living. And what a program this bountiful edition has in store: initiations, master classes, wild concerts, a choreographic competition, shows, battles… and as always, accessible to all, whether experienced dancers, amateurs or simple spectators.

Montpellier is proud and happy to support a demanding and popular festival that celebrates the values it holds dear: exchange, sharing and the joy of living together.

Through the Montpellier Swinging Festival, our region is once again demonstrating that culture is a formidable link between peoples, generations and territories. The dance, swing and world cultures represented by this festival tell the story of an Occitanie that’s open, curious and deeply interested in exchange.

At the Occitanie Region, we defend a simple conviction: access to culture must be guaranteed everywhere and for everyone, from major metropolises to rural communities. Supporting events like the Swinging Festival means enabling everyone to discover dance in all its forms, share collective emotions and create spaces for encounters and conviviality.

Dance has the unique power to bring people together, beyond words, ages and origins. In a world riven by divisions and fractures, dance remains a universal language, a space of freedom and emancipation.
