Emilie & The Shiny Bunch is a Montpellier-based jazz/swing quartet born of the encounter between talented singer Émilie Ayer and three lifelong friends: Simon Laurent (drums), Arthur Anelli (guitar) and Rémi Peleyras (double bass), all driven by a shared passion for swing and its evocative imagery of the smoky jazz clubs of 1940s America.
From Billy Holliday to Ella Fitzgerald, via the song repertoire of Cole Porter and Duke Ellington, the quartet enthusiastically reinterprets the great classics of the era, bringing people together around nostalgic, danceable music.
