Alice & Felipe

Alice Mei started dancing at the age of 4 and practiced many different types of dance until she fell in love with the Lindy Hop. She has been swing dancing for over 14 years and remains fascinated by the art of improvisation. Connecting with your partner through rhythm helps them to dance along, and that’s the most inspiring thing right now. She has spread the joy of lindy hop and authentic jazz in over 30 countries through teaching, performances, competitions and social dancing. She loves the diversity of movement and freedom of expression that dance brings to the world. She hopes to continue learning and inspiring people for as long as possible.

Felipe Braga is a Brazilian jazz dance artist, choreographer and educator based in Berlin, Germany. Many wonder how Felipe Braga learned Lindy Hop so quickly: from a novice dancer cleaning the bathroom and mopping the floor at Folkets Hus to a Herrang instructor in just three years. The explanation is simple: his life before Lindy prepared him for what was to come. Theater training has given Felipe body awareness and control, as well as the ability to improvise, both in his energetic warm-up in class and in the competitions where he always shines. But more important than all that, Felipe embodied the spirit of Lindy Hop long before he knew it existed. It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t like Felipe. Her warm personality charms every dancer she meets, and her ability to connect with people in conversation carries over to the dance floor.
