Choreography competition

1/ Create your own choreography to a Count Basie tune

2/ Upload your video to a private folder (link below)

3/ Three choreographies selected per category to dance the final in Montpellier on Friday evening, July 19, at the opening of the Swinging Montpellier Festival.

4/ All participants will receive feedback on their performance and suggestions for future work from the Festival’s Artistic Director Rémy Kouakou Kouame.

Participation rules

– Choreography between 1’30 and 2 minutes for Solo and Duo categories
– Choreography between 2 and 2’30 minutes for the Group category
– All styles welcome: Solo Jazz, Lindy Hop, Contemporary, Hip-Hop…
– Horizontal wide shot video
– Acrobatics, lifts and accessories allowed
– Introduce yourself at the beginning of the video and explain why you chose the song you did (montage between intro and intro).
