LETI & CÉSAR
For Leticia Martin, known as Leti, jazz dance represents an indestructible link with a history and culture that she seeks to preserve. Through each movement, the dancer and teacher seeks to capture the essence of groove and swing, in search of that unique vibration that brings the dance to life. A Lindy hopper since 2011, her dance draws on the diversity of vernacular jazz styles, as well as the stories and life histories that surround them. Sharing and exchange are at the heart of her approach. Today, she teaches Lindy Hop and vernacular Jazz in Montpellier, at the Montpeul’ Swing school.
César Cano was born in Majorca, but it was in Montpellier that he found his place. He discovered swing a little later, in his twenties. But when he fell under the spell of Lindy Hop in 2016, it was a revelation: he understood that, more than an art, this dance was a way of connecting with others in a unique way. Since then, his passion for swing, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz and Tap dancing has never left him. He travels the world to feed off his influences and perfect his art. His style? A blend of freedom, rhythm and improvisation, from softness to pure energy, enriched by tap dancing.
