SWINGING AFRICA MONTPELLIER is part of the AFRICA MONTPELLIER season.

This event took place on November 6 and 7, 2021, at the Maison pour Tous George Sand and Parc Rimbaud, in the Aubes district of Montpellier.

For the occasion, Swinging Montpellier has invited the Hodi Maputo Afro Swing collective from Mozambique.

This collective of dancers and musicians are leaders of the Afro Swing movement, which explores the vernacular roots of Swing and Lindy Hop. They criss-cross Europe and the rest of the world to exchange and share this history…. A long history between the African people and the rest of the world.

A warm, festive encounter with these three wonderfully energetic artists, celebrating and highlighting the African roots of swing dance.
