Bianca and Nils Masterclass Lindy Hop Festival Swinging Montpellier 2025

Marion & Sylvain (Lindy Hop)

Marion and Sylvain began dancing together in 2014, after meeting a mutual friend near a swing event. Although they attended the same high school, they had never spoken, but thought it would be interesting to get to know at least one person in a dance class. So they signed up for Lindy Hop classes.

Sylvain has been rollerblading since childhood, and is now a graphic designer with a passion for geometric shapes. As for Marion, she took gymnastics and karate and loved to dance in her room. In 2015, Marion went to study in London for a year and danced a lot, as classes were more expensive than in France. On her return to France, she began writing a master’s thesis on Lindy Hop and intersectionality. She now teaches English at university on a part-time basis.

Together, they created their own Lindy Hop scene in Tours, called Jumpin’Jazz, where they regularly organize classes and parties, sharing their passion for jazz and dance. They are attached to the social and artistic aspects of dance, and are driven by their curiosity about the multiple possibilities for individual and collective expression it offers. In social dance, they strive to create an inclusive space where each partner actively contributes, whatever their role. When performing, they love to create original choreography that reflects their personal style and artistic vision.
