Levels

Be fair in choosing your level of practice; no need to challenge yourself by going to a level that is too high. The objective of a course is to fully enjoy the content and the transmission offered! Upgrading is the best way to miss… the point.

Finally, please note that the international teachers will deliver the courses in English.

Lindy Hop – levels

Lindy Hop initiation

You have never danced Lindy Hop and Charleston as a couple or you have only taken a few introductory or trial classes a long time ago. You are attracted by these dances but wish to try a class before committing to a regular class. This initiation is a great opportunity to discover or renew with swing dances.

Lindy Hop Beginner + / Inter

You are not a true beginner because you have already taken one to three years of regular lessons but you practice mainly in medium tempo. You are comfortable with long and short variations (8 beats / 6 beats), basic Lindy Hop variations (Swing out, circle, tuck turn, etc.) and Charleston (tandem, hand to hand etc.). You wish to improve your dance by working on basic technical elements (connection, stretch, rhythm…) and learn new variations. Lindy Hop Inter +

For the past 4 years you have been dancing very regularly in classes and at parties, you are addicted to dance and it is part of your life! You like to get into the details to feel more comfortable in both slow and fast tempo. To feed your passion, you test different courses and participate in festivals or workshops! You expect to work on new variations, footwork and technical points that will enrich your dance. Complexification

Lindy Hop Advanced +

This course with international teachers is designed to feed your passion and your desire to perform. You have a solid experience of Lindy Hop, through many years of practice, and/or have walked the floors of many festivals or schools. You are used to questioning your technique and your dance. You will assimilate the new variations quickly and well and work on musicality. You know your strengths and weaknesses, and are not afraid to work or train to overcome them. Expression

Solo Jazz – the levels

Solo Jazz Initiation

If you’ve been dreaming of trying swing dancing for a while, or if you’re simply curious about the experience, sign up for the initiations! They are made for you.

Solo Jazz Beginner+ (in French only)

You know the basics of the jazz solo. You have been practicing for at least 1 year. You like to learn and wish to develop your dance through the learning of new sequences and the apprehension of musicality. This level is yours!

Solo Jazz Inter+

You have been dancing for a few years. You are comfortable with the main movements of Solo Jazz and Charleston. You know a few routines such as Shim Sham, Tranky Doo, Big Apple,
Mamma Stew
… and easily memorize the choreography. You want to dance solo in social, work on improvisation and musicality – on medium tempos.

Solo Jazz Advanced+.

You have a good mastery of many steps and sequences of Jazz and Charleston solos. You master the rhythms, improvise regularly, learn quickly and fast tempos do not scare you! You are in the right level! You will deepen your knowledge of this dance, perfect your style, your ease and your sense of musicality.

In order to offer quality courses, we pay particular attention to ensuring that the levels of practice are homogeneous. The direction of the festival keeps a right of inspection on the adequacy between the level of practice of the trainees and the level of the courses expected. We reserve the right to reposition trainees in practice levels that we feel are more appropriate. This approach is organized in the interest of all and in a good mood.
