On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Cit\u00e9 des Arts (Conservatoire \u00e0 rayonnement r\u00e9gional de Montpellier M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e M\u00e9tropole) vibrated to the rhythm of swing at a swing ball organized for the presentation of the Big Band of the Cit\u00e9 des Arts Jazz Department.<\/p>\n
From 8pm onwards, a large audience gathered to share a festive and musical moment in an emblematic setting dedicated to dance, music and theater. The evening was an opportunity to highlight the work and energy of the musicians of the Cit\u00e9 des Arts Big Band Jazz, offering a rich and lively repertoire, conducive to dancing and conviviality. <\/p>\n
The event was part of a wonderful collaboration between the Montpellier Conservatoire, the Big Band des Loustics de Clapiers and noptre festival Swinging Montpellier. This partnership brought together musicians, dancers and jazz fans around the same passion: swing and live music. <\/p>\n
Experienced dancers and novices shared the space in a warm and inclusive atmosphere, perfectly illustrating the spirit of the swing ball: meeting, exchanging and enjoying movement.<\/p>\n
Beyond the musical performance, this evening embodied the values of transmission, collaboration and openness to the public, which are dear to local cultural players. It created a real link between students, partner associations and the Montpellier public. <\/p>\n
